Dream Leadership with Sonya Denyse

Getting a chance to talk with Sonya Denyse is one of my favorite pastimes – and this conversation was no different.  

 

What happens if “no” means “not yet”? Hear how being connected to play allowed Sonya to grow up living in a space of possibility despite a lack of resources. We discuss the dream killers and the gift of joy; the differences between raw and cultivated talent; and inspiring action versus inspiring shame in difficult conversations.  

 

Sonya tells a powerful personal story about how being able to see a dream, convey it to others, and create the support around bringing that dream into reality, directly impacted the lives of those around her in an extraordinary way. We also explore the reality of duality – and how when anger mutes the music and you can’t find the dance, remembering that leadership is not about who’s in front of you, it’s about who’s beside you.
